Stendeck

StendeckThe name Stendeck is derived from a variation of the final strange Morse code radio message sent by the plane Stardust on August 2nd, 1947 before its mysterious disappearance.

Based in Lugano, Switzerland, Alessandro Zampieri, the man behind Stendeck, began his musical career at a very young age exploring music within the confines and possibilities of the piano. Stendeck was eventually formed in 1999 when Alessandro, at the age of 22, turned his attention to the new horizons and fantastic possibilities of electronic music.

As Alessandro developed his sound, Stendeck quickly evolved into a brilliant and notable electronic talent, presenting his audience with a solid contrast of  ambient and atmospheric elements, distorted beats, and noisy keys complimented by the presence of acoustic instruments that ultimately invited warm and intriguing soundscapes for his listeners.

After his self-released demo ‘A Crash Into Another World’ and two critically-acclaimed albums, ‘Can You Hear My Call?’ and ”Faces‘ on the now-defunct Geska label, Stendeck brought his signature sound home to the Tympanik Audio family in early 2009 with his captivating new full-length CD titled ‘Sonnambula‘.

StendeckCombining epic synth patterns with stunning piano movements and a hint of distorted rhythmic beats, ‘Sonnambula‘ injected an air of originality and purpose that both inspired and moved his listeners to elated heights. With one astounding song composition after the next, ‘Sonnambula‘ conjures up the true ingredients of intelligent electronica, driven by distortion-tinged beats, soaring synth-lines, and modern classical elements that spew emotion from every surface.

StendeckTwo years after the release of the widely-acclaimed ‘Sonnambula‘ album, Stendeck returned to Tympanik Audio with his highly-anticipated new full-length titled ‘Scintilla‘. Once again, Stendeck presented another outstanding mix of generous beats and emotional electronica, accentuated by deep, flowing atmospheres, heart-seizing melodies, expertly-placed noise elements, and lush synthlines.

Scintilla‘ boasted 17 stunning new tracks on compact disc packaged in a beautifully-designed 6-panel digipak by Kostas K. of Subheim.

StendeckStendeck‘s 5th album ‘Folgor‘ is available now on CD, 2xLP vinyl, and digital formats with Tympanik Audio. ORDER HERETracklisting: 01.
